About

linda30-something going on 12, obsessed with crafting, dollies, kitties, vintage Pyrex glassware, old things in general and good eats.

“What the heck is Bellaceti,” some people may ask. It’s a word I made up as an Instant Messenger handle / screen name back in 1997, and it just stuck. I just didn’t want to be another “linda12345.”

I am by no means an expert at knitting, but I have found so much comfort through knitting in the past few years that I thought it would be great to document my learning process. I love knitting so much I want to teach everyone how to knit, so I have also shared up some basic tutorials I’ve put together.

I started knitting when I was about 14, but never finished my first project due to a lack of patience. 20-some years later, I’m still not very patient, but I’ve managed to finish quite a few projects since I picked up my knitting needles again in 2004. I am somewhat “cautious” when it comes to knitting – I just have to feel confident and proficient at whatever I am working on/learning at the moment before I can move on to the next thing.

One thing at a time, I say – knitting is a life-long learning experience.
