About

linda30-something going on 12, obsessed with crafting, dollies, kitties, vintage Pyrex glassware, old things in general and good eats.

“What the heck is Bellaceti?” some people may ask when they come to the website. It’s just a word I made up as an Instant Messenger handle / screen name back in 1997, and it just stuck. I just didn’t want to be another “linda12345.”

I am by no means an expert at knitting, but I have found so much comfort through knitting in the past few years that I thought it would be great to document my learning process. I love knitting so much I want to teach everyone how to knit, so I have also shared up some basic tutorials I’ve put together.

I started knitting when I was about 14, but never finished my first project because I had no patience. 20-some years later, I’m still not very patient, but I’ve managed to finish quite a few projects since I picked up my knitting needles again in 2004. I am somewhat “cautious” when it comes to knitting – I just have to feel confident and proficient at whatever I am working on/learning at the moment before I can move on to the next thing.

I am constantly learning new things with every project I start. I highly recommend knitting to anyone who wants to give it a try. I guarantee you will become more mellow, more patient, more generous, and find it most satisfying. It’s the best hobby ever!
