One of the more advanced projects in my knitting experience, the Goldenfern is finally complete! I am really proud of myself for finishing it. First time doing: 1. German short rows, 2. Using multiple color strands, and 3. i-Cord edging.

A fellow knitter posted her FO in the Reddit r/Knitting sub and I was smitten at first sight. Questioned myself if I could actually do it since I am still not confident with colorwork, but decided to take the plunge anyway because dang it, this is such a pretty sweater!
Ordered trusty Palette from Knit Picks: MC – Marine Heather, C1 – Suede, C2 – Turmeric, C3 – Brass Heather. I think the max colors being used at once was three colors, and that felt like a lot. I’m not sure if I can handle more than that.

Had to turn it inside out for some photos. Did my best to catch the floats!

Hurray, it’s a perfect fit 😄 It took me almost six months to complete – I watched a lot of anime in air-conditioned room while powering through this all summer. It also took me forever to weave in all the ends – and there are so.many.ends… but I was determined to finish the sweater before it starts to cool down.
Can’t wait for sweater weather!
