Had fun knitting the Moonflower Tee by Ksenia Naidyon \/ @lifeiscozy! After finishing the Poet Tee, I wanted to continue making warm weather garments and came across this pattern on Reddit. It had such a lovely texture, and being a big fan of showing stitch definition, I just happened to have more Southwick in my stash and decided to give it a go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few progress photos above: working short rows for the back of the neck; the sleeves newly separated; continuing down the body<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pattern cleverly uses traveling stitches for a striking cable effect and made it interesting to knit throughout. I had to pay attention to the many M1s across the rows. I missed one here and there, and had to go back to correct a few times, but thankfully it wasn’t too difficult to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blocked and ready to wear. The pattern is so satisfying to look at and I’ve gotten many compliments online!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadly for me, when I started the pattern I thought to knit size B rather than A because I didn’t want the top to be a snug fit – since I had used Southwick just recently, I got over-confident and didn’t swatch. The finished garment turned out to be more oversized than I liked, so I shared the garment’s photos and measurements on my Facebook and offered it to friends. And now this Moonflower Tee has a new home with my friend J who said it fit her perfectly! So it turned out to be a happy ending after all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And guess what – I now have a second Moonflower Tee on my needles in size A, hopefully for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
