Circular Yoke Summer Shirt<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

I was browsing PurlSoho sometime in June and totally fell in love with the Circular Yoke Summer Shirt<\/a>. It just looks really lovely in its minimalist design. I love how effortless and comfortable it looked. The circular yoke added really nice subtle details. So when Cattail Silk<\/a> went on sale, I got myself a few hanks in Patina Blue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The garment is knitted from bottom up with waist shaping, so I basically watched a ton of anime while doing stockinette stitches in the round. I like my shirts to fit a bit loose, so I opted for the 34 3\/4 size with approximately 2-3 3\/4 inches of positive ease. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I was finishing up the sleeves, I realized that they go just a bit below the shoulder. I am not really a fan of cap sleeves… so I thought I’d try to pick up stitches and knit a short sleeve with a little bit of puff. It’s been ages since I did some picking up of stitches, and the right sleeve really showed where the stitches did not match up. The left sleeve (pictured above) looked much better. I probably should have frogged the right sleeve and started over, but I was just ready to be finished with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

September is almost over, but I’m sure we still have some warm days ahead here in Southern California!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
